About

Pynewood Press was founded in 2023 by Shmuel Barber, a dedicated editor and author who brings over a decade of valuable experience to the literary world. He started his career by writing and meticulously proofreading scripts to prepare them for various studios, where he honed his craft. As his career evolved, he transitioned into editing children’s fiction and gradually expanded his expertise into the realms of academic, business, and non-fiction editing. Shmuel has also gained experience working for a B2B publishing house, where he wrote articles for two bi-monthly magazines.

As Chief Editor of Pynewood Press, Shmuel, backed up by his team, has a mission to support both up-and-coming and established writers with their precious manuscripts. His ambition is to seek writers multiple genres who want to develop their craft and publish sizzling, delicious and daring books.

Some of Pynewood Press’s current projects include developmental editing and coaching for a young aspiring writer of fantasy novels, as well as working on a book of ghost stories and a feature screenplay intended for a Jewish Chabad community in New York.
